Esa
Esa has been a fulltime artist over 40 years. He was born in Finland and  when he was a young man, he was a merchant seaman, traveling around the world. For many years he and his family lived in Northern Ontario, Lake Temiskaming district. Presently they live in Port Colborne. Over the years Esa has exhibited his art in numerous one-man and group art shows all over. He has authored four books and his designs have been published in many magazines. You can contact Esa for commission work to paint your favourite subject.   

"I started painting with oils, water colours, and then acrylics, and that was when I knew that I had found the perfect medium for me.Itry to have an overall plan what I am going to paint, but sometimes when I feel spontaneous, I just start painting.  Painting daily is important to me; trying to master my skills, learning new approaches. There is always a painting in progress, or I start something completely new.  In the beginning, I might have some idea how I will paint, but at the end , the painting might be totally different from what I had in mind, when I started.My art covers a wide spectrum of subjects. I enjoy painting landscapes with loons and lakes. Marine sceneries are also very close to my heart.
